Center Director Professor Chin-Chin Cheng Goes to Singapore to Attend the 2018 APAIE Asia-Pacific Association for International Education

The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education is currently the most important association for higher education in the Asian region. The purpose in establishing this association was to stimulate the globalization of higher education between the Asian region and the rest of the world. In 2018, the 13th annual Asia Pacific Association for International Education Conference was held in Singapore from March 24-29. In order to both strengthen academic exchange between CCU and other institutions of higher education and to discuss related topics, CCU has expanded its collaboration with and short-term research projects with international sister schools. Furthermore, to raise its international visibility, CCU has, alongside 20 other domestic colleges and universities, partnered together with the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education in Taiwan.

 

As the vice dean of the OIA, center Director Professor Chin-Chin Cheng was sent to Singapore to participate in this conference. Before the conference, she contacted 26 different universities and, during the conference, she met up with representatives from close to 10 different schools, increasing CCU’s global exposure.
